Frequently Asked Questions

Buying a Simulated Game Day shouldn’t be difficult so to help we have assembled some of the more frequently asked questions for you below.

If we haven’t answered your particular question or you wish to clarify anything please don not hesitate to contact us.

How much does it cost?

At SimulatedGameShoot we think things should be simple and transparent. We hate going onto websites and then having to send off enquiries and wait weeks to find basic prices so we do things differently!

We have a very basic pricing policy for our shoots: it will cost you £200 per 1000 birds with a minimum of 2000 birds for a day. It doesn’t matter how many guns you have or how you rotate them, the cost is per 1000 birds. Simple! We also provide significant discounts for charity events so please contact us if you wish to discuss further.

Where do you go with it?

That’s really simple: anywhere!

We don’t have a fixed location but we can go to some of the land where we have permission to shoot or we can come to your shoot and put on a day at your location.

Who can shoot?

For the Simulated Game Trailer you should be an experienced shot to take part. This is for 2 reasons:

  1. It is a fast and furious shooting experience so likely to demoralise inexperienced shooters
  2. As you are shooting side by side at 10m distances the risk of a beginner swinging through the line to too great and safety always comes first

We can set up beginner birds using our Bidwell traps though so if you have inexperienced shots let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.

How many guns can shoot?

We recommend teams of 4 guns although if you want you can shoot it as a solo event or anywhere in between.

To make things really fun it is great to have 8 guns (or more) with 4 shooting and 4 loading on each drive.

What equipment do I need?

You will need a gun, plenty of cartridges and normal country clothing for the time of year.

Can I buy cartidges from you?

Yes. We always bring a small amount of “emergency” cartridges with us but if you intend to buy your day’s supply from us we are happy to bring them as long as you give us enough advance notice.

What size cartridges should I bring?

We recommend 21g 7.5 cartridges. You will be shooting a lot of them during the course of the day so we feel that the lighter loads are more than capable of breaking the clays and do not punish your shoulder as much as a full game load.

YOU MUST SHOOT WITH FIBRE WADS ONLY

We like the countryside we shoot in and don’t want to litter it with plastic wads so it is a condition of our days that you use fibre wads only.
